Frequently
Asked Questions

Can I book a trial?

Yes! You can book a 2-week trial for any class. After this you will be invited to book the class and fully register. Book your trial here.

How can I pay?

We offer two week trials for all new students. Glasgow Dance Academy offer subscription bookings where fees are paid on the 1st of the month. We run classes 38 weeks of the year. You only pay for the weeks we run, evenly split over 12 months.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable that you can move easily in e.g. leggings and a T-shirt. We have uniforms for each class, available once full-registered to buy through our website.

Where are the classes?

Studios can be found on the locations section of the website

What happens if I miss a class?

As the classes are booked in advance unfortunately we cannot offer a refund for missed classes. However, if you start half way through a term you will only pay from your first class onwards.

Can I sit exams at the end of the year?

Yes. We teach syllabus work from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and put students forward bi-annually when they have achieved the required level to sit the exams. These are internationally recognised qualifications and help build a fantastic profile for future applications showing commitment and achievement in extra curricular activities.

Is there an end of year show?

Yes. We work towards a big Summer show from January – June. It is a huge highlight for the dancers.

What are the class levels?

Classes are split by age, but students may move class at the discretion of the teacher depending on ability.

Can I stay in the class to watch?

We ask parents to remain outside the studios as much as possible. We understand young children sometimes find if difficult to leave parents but we are confident in our teachers’ ability to encourage and include new students.

What is the registration fee?

All new and existing students pay a basic annual fee when joining the school. This covers additional costs such as insurances, music licences etc.

How do I cancel my classes?

It’s no problem to cancel classes, however we ask you give a least one months notice before subscriptions can be cancelled. Please e-mail info@glasgowdanceacademy.com for any changes you’d like me make.
